Training Crisis Communication

In preparing for crisis and conflict situations organisations invest in their own future. In an increasingly transparent world, characterised by rapid communication cycles, private companies and public organisations are often confronted with situations where their actions may be questioned by other stakeholders. At the time of crisis it is important to communicate fast and in a consistent way, according to the needs of target audiences in question. Especially communication with multiplicators and with the media needs to planned carefully, so that the organisation is still capable to actively steer the communication process. 

For this purpose it is important to build up trust and communication structures early on. Existing communication networks can then be drawn on, when crisis occurs.  

DIALOG BASIS offers trainings and educational modules in crisis communication for private enterprises and public organisations. Helmut Elbert brings to the team over 20 years of experience from the field, both from practical crisis communication tasks in large enterprises and from crisis communication schoolings. In addition we profit here from our good relationships to different universities and research institutes: These enable us to let current academic insights on risk perception and risk governance flow into our projects. 

Our trainings consist of educational modules, lighting different aspects of successful crisis communication. Here we take both the contents and the form of communication in consideration. Our focus ranges from the development of communication instruments – press releases, interviews, press conferences, social media – to the training of self-confident appearance in front of media, cameras and microphones.
