Steinbeis Europa

The Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum (SEZ) was founded in 1990 by the Commissioner of Europe for Baden-Wurttemberg’s Minister of Economic Affairs. SEZ’s main task is to support local enterprises in questions related to European research and technology subsidy programs and cooperations, thus helping them on their way to Brussels. SEZ consults both companies, colleges, universities and research institutes in applying and carrying out European-level projects

SEZ’s cross-border projects and cooperations with European technology and research partners all aim to strengthen emergent technologies, support innovations and the competitiveness of the actors related.

For structuring future-relevant information and managing complex interaction processes with clear results, SEZ combines following methods and instruments in its work:

  • Scenario Workshops
  • Expert Panels
  • Creative Techniques
  • SWOT and STEEPV analyses
  • GOPP approach for project development and management

In 2011-2012 Antje Grobe and Mikko Rissanen worked together with the Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum in the STRATCLU foresight process for the cluster MicroTEC Südwest, supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
